Swanage Railway Magazine is the quarterly journal of the award-winning Swanage Railway in Dorset. Finial Publishing has been responsible for the design and production of Swanage Railway Magazine and its predecessor Swanage Railway News for over 14 years. Each A4-format, 36-page journal contains all the latest information on the Railway, features articles on other railway-related matters in the area and includes many large format colour photographs. Swanage Railway Magazine has been highly commended in the Heritage Railway Association's publications competition, with judges comments such as 'Difficult to find fault with this magazine'. Edited by Michael H C Baker, the renowned author of many books on railway and bus history, Great Western Echo is the quarterly magazine of the Great Western Society. The Society exists to encourage interest in all aspects of the Great Western Railway and manages the Didcot Railway Centre in Oxfordshire where it operates an extensive range of Great Western Railway locomotives and rolling stock. The A4-format Great Western Echo reports on happenings at the Didcot Railway Centre and contains articles of interest on the Great Western Railway, including many historic photographs. Southern Pacific is an A5 format magazine published twice a year for Southern Locomotives Ltd. Southern Locomotives Ltd own 11 steam locomotives, four of which have been restored. The locomotives are Class P 0-6-0 tank No.31178; Bulleid Pacifics No.34010 Sidmouth, No.34028 Eddystone, No.34053 Sir Keith Park, No.34070 Manston, No.34072 257 Squadron, No.35022 Holland America Line and No.35027 Port Line; Austerity 0-6-0 tank No.68068; Standard Class 4 2-6-4 tanks No.80078 and No.80104. They are based either at the Swanage Railway in Dorset, the Bluebell Railway in Sussex or at Southern Locomotives' restoration base at Sellindge in Kent. Southern Pacific keeps members informed about the operation of the locomotives, restoration progress and events that are taking place. It also includes features articles that will interest anyone with a love for steam locomotives in general and those of the Southern Railway or BR Southern Region in particular.
